Customer Prosperity
We support the prosperity of our customers through the investment, design, development and management of real assets – prioritising occupant wellbeing and driving sustainability performance.
Our recent progress:
- +41 Customer Net Promoter Score (NPS) aggregate for office, retail and healthcare portfolios, exceeding our target of +40 for FY25
- 5.6-star average NABERS Indoor Environment rating across our managed office portfolio, achieving our FY25 target and reflecting our initiatives that enhance occupant health and wellbeing
- Our development pipeline added $1.7b gross value to the Australian economy in FY25 and supported over 9,500 construction jobs
The NABERS IE rating average is based on officially certified ratings current on 30 June 2025. We conduct NABERS IE assessments for all office buildings where the HVAC system is owned, managed and maintained by Dexus. Sites that are unoccupied for most of the rating period are excluded.
REMPLAN is used to model the potential economic benefits associated with Dexus’s committed developments. REMPLAN is an Input Output model that captures inter-industry relationships within an economy. The multipliers and jobs data are provided by Urbis. Gross value added (GVA) represents the value added (i.e. economic growth) generated through the Dexus Platform committed development pipeline. GVA is calculated using the value of the total development spend across the Dexus Platform in FY25 as a key input. The number of construction jobs is an estimation of all direct and indirect jobs created over the life of the construction phase of the projects in the Dexus Platform committed development pipeline. This is calculated using standard industry jobs per square metre benchmarks and regional employment multipliers for NSW.
Climate Action
We are focused on accelerating the transition to a decarbonised economy while safeguarding and advancing our people, assets, property and financial returns.
Our recent progress:
- Maintaining net zero since FY22 across scope 1 and 2 emissions across our managed portfolio
- 100% of electricity sourced from renewables when purchasing for our managed portfolio, while increasing uptake of energy efficiency, electrification, solar and battery storage
- Releasing our Climate Transition Action Plan, which details our climate risk assessment, programs and aspirations to support Dexus in reaching net zero by 2050
- Average 4.8-star NABERS Energy rating across our office portfolio
- Average 4.2-star NABERS Waste rating across our office portfolio through collaboration with customers to optimise waste management practices

What our people say
“Our purpose is to unlock potential and create tomorrow. Sustainability is critical to achieving this, through unlocking the potential of real estate and infrastructure to create a lasting positive impact and a more sustainable tomorrow. At Dexus, we are doing this by prioritising three key areas: Customer Prosperity, Climate Action and Enhancing Communities. These priorities are the most important to our customers and investors and are where we can make a tangible impact that is aligned with our commercial goals.”
Ross Du Vernet, Group CEO & Managing Director
“Our sustainability pillar of Customer Prosperity acknowledges that customers are setting their own sustainability priorities and recognises that Dexus, as an investor and real assets manager, is in a unique position to help them achieve their goals. Customers are increasingly valuing the performance of buildings and the built environment and there are ratings tools, such as NABERS, Green Star and WELL, that help us – and our customers – understand how well our buildings are performing.”
